London Phoenix 4 person MTB Team (David Steele, Abigail Armstrong, Eric Bronsvoort & Danny Berry) indulged in some fine team work to achieve a creditable 14th place (out of 32) in the competitive section of the 12 hour team enduro competition – yes – up against the sponsored pro’s. We managed a creditable 25 laps over a demanding and technical 10 KM course that ranged from strenuous broadtrack climbs to rooty and rocky singletrack. We all did 6 laps each accept for Eric who managed to squeeze a final 25th out of the final 26 minutes of racing – all very tense!

The event was appropriately chilled and very friendly/sociable much a reflection of the laid back local Bristol MTB scene. Lots of nutritious food and superb coffee was on hand to keep us going for the whole day and the organisers laid on evening entertainment including DJ’s and bands. Definitely an event to remember to do again next year.
