Watch out for our honed and toned London Phoenix riders back from the more-or-less annual week-long pilgrimage to Majorca, where we trained well over 600km. The Puerto Azul in Puerto Pollensa was our base, with a great basement for storing bikes – in fact, an ideal place for riders provided you can handle the evening entertainment (Pete was a big fan of the Madonna tribute act…) Remarkably, the GB track team, although they chose their trip dates to coincide with our own, didn’t opt for the same accommodation, though we did share the same choice of restaurant, the infamous Tolo’s (he’s the one in the middle of this pic), for some of our post-ride refueling.
