This weekend saw London host the third Smithfield Nocturne, a feast of cycling goodness that included the ever popular folding bike race, the fixed wheel skid heats and some crazy-fast circuit racing.
The elite event was won by Russell Downing, with Tony Gibb and Ben Swift close behind, but for us the highlight was the 2/3 race, which featured two of our stars – Robert Moore and Alex Christians. Alex was was suffering from a virus and was never in contention but was still clearly the hardest working rider on the course, while Robert was left in no man’s land after a terrible start and was forced to chase down the lead group in a thrilling display of speed and power – a fantastic achievement for our newly promoted 2nd Cat.
Well done guys, as ever.
We are a group of London-based cyclists, who get together for races and training rides. We have a website forum as our virtual clubhouse, and instead of regular weekly club rides from a set place we arrange to meet up for mountain bike, road or cyclocross rides, races and time trials from a variety of venues. We also meet up socially every month.
See the on-road and off-road sections for news on upcoming events we're doing as well as our recent achievements.
Joining us is easy, fill out the form and send it to us. If you have any queries please contact us.
