ladies-day21We’re running another women’s ride on Sunday 23rd August – if you have a road bike and feel reasonably confident you can ride 50km, why not join us?

We’ll keep the pace to whatever everyone can enjoy, so don’t worry about how fast you can go – no-one gets left behind on these rides!  This is a good opportunity to test out riding with a club, especially if you’re not totally confident about whether you’re “good enough”.  It’s also a chance to enjoy going out on your bike with some other women.

The route breaks up into 3 sections:

  • an optional, preliminary 25km from Enfield-Hertford for those who want to ride further
  • the main ride – a 50km loop from Hertford (including tea stop!)
  • 25km return leg from Hertford-Enfield 25km for those who want to extend the ride.

We did the same route earlier in the year and the lure of the tea shop is too strong to resist!

The middle section is the nicest, so if 50km sounds like enough or you’re unsure about the pace we’d recommend meeting us at Hertford North station: get the 13:26 from Kings Cross / 13:32 from Finsbury Park and meet at Hertford North at 14:07. Please let us know if you’re coming so we know who to meet from the train.

If you do want to ride further we’ll be meeting in Enfield at 12:50 – get in touch if you’re coming and we’ll give you the address.

On the way home we’ll call by Hertford North again, and then anyone who wants to can opt to ride back to Enfield.

If you’d like to come along or you have any questions, we’d be very happy to hear from you.
