Yes indeed, we LP ladies always like to represent at the key MTB features of the mountain biking calendar and this year is set to be no different!

With LP representation in Gorrick Winter Brass Monkeys, Thetford winter series, Gorrick Spring Saddle Skedaddle and Rampage XC we also have teams registered for these monumental milestones of 2011:

– Gorrick 100 1st May Swinley Forest
– South Downs Way in a Day 14th May Petersfield-Eastbourne: London Phoenix Club event
– Beastway May 18th-July 27th Redbridge Cycling Centre (Hog Hill): We have individual entries spanning all categories
– Mountain Mayhem 24hr Enduro 18th-19th June: We have a male team and a mixed team getting set to sign up
– Bontrager 24-12 Newnham Park Plymouth 23rd-24th July: We have a female 12-hr pairs team and a male 24-hr pairs team already signed up
– Brighton Big Dog 20th August: We have a female pairs team and a male pairs team already signed up for the 6-hr event (with an awesome party afterwards in Brighton)
– Kielder 100 Sept 3rd Enduro
– Dusk Til Dawn 8th-9th October Thetford Forest

Bristol Bikefest, Tour of the Black Mountains, Mucoff 8 and Christalp Raid (France) will also feature London Phoenix teams and there’s always the option of Cyclo-cross over the winter! If you’re curious to know what it’s all about without the cost of a new bike, you can ride your hardtail for those events too!

We just did an LP mountain biking weekend in North Wales at the Coed Y Brenin Trail Centre and we have a bumper LP weekend lined up in March for the Afan Forest and Cwmcarn Trail Centres. South Downs Way in a Day is a heroic off-road ride of 9.5 hours. It can be done faster, and we will be trying for this several times throughout the summer!

We have several active mountain biking ladies and we’re looking for more! So if you fancy trying out trails on the weekend, mid-week nightriding in Surrey Hills and Epping Forest, that team feeling at quality enduros or even a little extra sideline support while you race, then drop us a line, we would be delighted to hear from you!

Most of our multi-talented XC ladies also dabble in free-riding, road-riding, track-riding and cyclocross, so you’ll be sure to find a good match for training all year round!
