So far we have only 4 entrants from the club for the regionals race at Hog Hill at the end of next week - we have loads of people helping out - it'd be great to have some people to cheer for!

Entries close at the end of this week - c'mon Damian, Steven, Neil, Bruce, Andrew, Dan, Astrid, Jane, Michelle et al. It's gonna be a 'proper' course this time...

Do you think the fact that he's already worked out how NOT to take one of the trickier sections of the course will be an andvantage?

You gonna lead the train out again?

I'm thinking of naming Steven's bit as "Drew's undoing" - what do you think?

More like holding everyone else up...
I think I'll be giving this one a miss as I haven't had any chance to ride my cross bike recently.

Actually you couldn't for this one... I think the stiff collars at BC would take a very dim view. For league races, bring it on and give it a go. Just don't be like the guy at Fakenham the other week who had a blinding start then took down half the field at the first corner. My first lap placing was looking really good!

This stiff collar would point out that Steve is very welcome to ride his MTB.
See 13.1 and 13.2

Its at this point I should point out my watts/kg isn't quite what it should be come race day...

Seriously though, I'd failed to spot it was a Regional so don't want to get in peoples way. Put me down to help subject to family time.

I'd thought it was different for cat A. Not that I actually *read* the rules...

Does anybody turn up to the Nationals on MTB's?

13.1
Other than under the provisions of 13.2, races shall be open to any type of bike without restriction, with the exception that all non-standard wheels must meet UCI regulations.

13.2
National Championship and National Trophy races are restricted to cyclo-cross bicycles only, as defined by the regulations of the UCI

Yeah - I've read them now - they're in that book BC sent me *after* the last race I organised.

I naively thought that Cat A was national rules. I shall consider myself chastised.

You racing then Stan?
