Cyclocross the Oirish way

We built a cyclocross course in an "adventure park" today. I think the guys who planned it underestimated how tough it's going to be...
In addition to rain-soaked ground and steep (completely unrideable) uphill sections, the course includes crazy golf and an obstacles section. (I managed to convince the others that it may not be such a good idea to make the competitors climb across rows of tyres). The racing should be fun tomorrow.

Well, that was fun. As my cross bike is still in London, I had to ride Thomas' BMC, which is a bit of a monster and not easy to coax around corners. We were only 4 women at the start line, and I came 2nd behind the girl who finished 4th in the Irish national champs. Another lap, and I might have caught her as she was slowing considerably on the running sections.

Annoyingly, my washing machine has broken down - just when I most need it to wash the brand-new baby-blue kit.
