Call for volunteers - CX 10th September - Hog Hill

Well we need 2 for sign on plus 3 for timekeeping, then marshals on top of that. Maybe 5 marshals - depends a bit on the course layout - I was up there this evening and the ground is like concrete. I've enlisted a paid first aider. Over our 3 races last season we managed 38 unique volunteers I think!

Anyone else? We did such an amazing job at the Regional Champs last year that our bar is now set high. It would be great if we can get a few more hands to help and make sure we can run a slick operation. But also so we don't burden too few people.

Maybe a few road racers are at a loose end at the end of their season?!

I have just seen that i am entered for a circuit race Saturday - entered ages ago and forgot, then volunteered here. So i am double booked. I am keen to do it as I'm currently at risk of relegation to 3rd cat and should take advantage of opportunities to earn my final 10 points.

Huge thanks to everyone for volunteering - I’ve tried to put together a document to cover most of the stuff I forget on the day. I’m sure there’s stuff missing still, but it’s a start. Please ask if you have any questions. I’ve tried to cover the roles I’d like you to fill during the day. It’s not set in stone and you can trade them like football cards if you wish.

The notable absence from the volunteer list is Mr Drew. He has stepped up (very late last night) into the role of assistant commissaire, something only possible thanks to the late flurry of volunteers in the last 48 hours. Until that point we were looking at cancelling the event. I’m sure it will be memorable for him one way or another….

I've also emailed this document in full - except I don't have Ethan's email address.
