Say what? There's an MTB category?
Only in our car. Think of it a bit like one of those prizes you give an 8 year old who never wins but turns up every week and tries really hard.

I did a CX race on an MTB once. Only once though. Obviously.

I did think twice about offering him a lift. People really stared at us when we pulled into the car park with his “thing” on the roof. I put on my sunglasses, pulled my hood up and hid in the sign-on hut until he’d taken it away.

Ok i fell for it. You carry on pretending you're riding over something "technical" for half the time a proper race takes. ;)

Well I've done both (and on rare occasions won both) and I'm pretty sure which hurts the most

Lol. It all hurts if you're doing it properly, as it should.

I'm trying to get Dylan to these races (he has a Junior TCX now), but they keep clashing with his Swimming Gala's, which are his priority.

You should come down and teach us a lesson. With your skills and fitness you could really tear it up. Welwyn on Sunday?

I'm in off season, strict instructions - no racing. I wouldn't want to compromise 2019. :D

You know I'm pissing about anyway, and have nothing but utmost respect for you all... :P

Today, Chris Clague and I raced at Stanborough Park, Welwyn in the Eastern League V50 and V40 races respectively. Neither of us won but it was fucking excellent.

That is all.

Great race report. Informative. Immersive. Emotional. Muddy.
