That's not a problem, it's the schlepping of the bag full of wet/cold gear, wellingtons, snorkling gear (if I'm down at the pond again) etc.

As an glass-half-empty kinda guy, presume it will be freezing and raining and windy and snowing and muddy (don't forget muddy).

Mind you, given what September was like, we could need sun cream again :D

Karl - you have to get into the swing of things. Being cold, wet and muddy is part of the fun of being involved in any cross event (excluding Rapha Supercross). I think I've cycled to all the events I've marshalled at, and it's never been that bad; at least not as bad as having to cycle home after having raced in wet and muddy conditions.

But I just bought an olde worlde Victorian diving suit on eBay, complete with hand cranked air pump in anticipation of a water related incident on the day!!! :D

I'll put a few LP stickers on it, no one will notice me

Richie - you appear to have just reposted - were you volunteering on either day? - ta

Hi Neal, probably course build on Saturday (as that's what you'd put yourself down for already) - am hopeful it should go up pretty quickly with the numbers we have. Thanks

OK Saturday people - can we aim to be at Hog Hill at 12:30 for the course build. The LVYCC lot should be finished up by then. I'll attempt to get round the course in the morning with some line paint to give you a clue where we're going. We're aiming for the course to be a minimum 3m wide throughout (but wider is also good) - might be helpful if some people could bring a tape measure.

Probably a good idea to bring gloves. And wellies if it's muddy.

Thanks
