The grey skies did nothing to dampen the 13 girls (and 5 boys) spirits as Sam led us on her route out of busy London into the stunning scenery of Essex. Along undulating roads we pedalled and chatted our way towards the spectacular Jericho Cottage cafe and antique shop in Blackmore run by Judy for tea and cake. After eating everything available and a bit shopping (why else are there three pockets at the back of a cycle top?) we reluctantly got back on the bikes. Chatter quickly picked up again and before we knew it we were back in London, conveniently arriving before the skies opened.
